« Canada's Science Minister | Bread Win » 03-19-09 After it was pointed out to him that the example he gave constituted "adaptation" and not "evolution", Science Minister Gary Goodyear is continuing to dodge questions on evolution. I never thought I'd find myself linking to a National Post editorial, but well, here we are. As the article points out, you can't put someone into a position that is in conflict of interest with their personal beliefs. You wouldn't put a scientologist in charge of Canada's mental health system. You wouldn't put a pacifist in charge of Canada's military. You wouldn't put a convict in charge of the justice system. I think its about time that I write my MP, and the PM, calling for Mr. Goodyear's resignation. Posted on March 19, 2009 08:40 AM Comments: hear hear! Posted on March 19, 2009 12:45 PMThis is what happens when you raise kids in alternative schools that studiously avoid studying taboo subjects. It kind of reminds you of what the Taliban are doing by teaching only the Koran. You get people with a very limited focus and no toleration for anything outside of it. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what constitutes the leadership of many countries today. Posted on March 20, 2009 07:02 AM |
