See now, mere mortals, the progress of my adopted vegetable offspring:

The Great Pumpkin!!!

The photo on the left was taken a week ago, the photo on the right was taken today. The pumpkin has doubled in size and is currently about the size of a smallish cantaloupe.

One day it will be mighty, and on that day I will make pie.
