« Barack | Patrick "the player" Stewart » 02-18-08 So today was an awesome Monday. I got to meet my second "God-child" (honorific, since religion is not really involved, and since I'm not the only "God-parent"). His name is Jeffrey. He's very tiny, and very well-behaved (so far). I made Andrea laugh by making some ridiculous funny faces. Then at the end of the night Chris prompted her "Say goodbye to uncle Jesse?" She (and I'm not embellishing at all here) said loudly, "Good-bye Uncee Jesse!" and ran over to give me a hug. Marvelous. :-) Posted on February 18, 2008 08:42 PM Comments: I'm glad it was a highlight for you! Andrea was very impressed with your faces and spent much of the ride home inquiring when we might go visit "Uncie Jesse" again. We've been blessed with two relatively well behaved children, as you say "so far". I'd like to take an oportunity though to give a little bit of a pat on the back and a thank you to all of our friends. You've all been very supportive and understanding of us for the last two years. In the face of what can be a rift maker between close friends, a family I mean, you've all stuck right by us. you've become an integral part of my daughter's young life and I count much of our success with her to your aid, imput and all around good humor when she visits you. I've counted myself very lucky to have friends and near and dear as all of you are. I know that you'll continue to give us the same support, friendship, understanding and aid as you have been doing as we bring our newest baby Dixon into our lives. Thank you all from the very bottom of my heart. Posted on February 18, 2008 09:12 PMI was so jealous and disappointed when I found out who he was out with this evening. On the weekend I had thought to myself that I probably wouldn't get to see everyone until about a month from now and that just seemed so far away. :( |
