I have probably babbled about this subject to most of you at some point or another: I've been working on a project for work to put a Mac G4 tower's motherboard into a Rackmount server ATX case. It's my first real mod and it's now complete and running. In true nerd form, I documented the process so that others can repeat my foolishness bravery. So here's my guide: A G4 motherboard in a rackmount ATX case.

Yes. As a blue penguin you might end up in some annoying 3D animated movie with a bunch of other wretchedly cute and oddly-coloured animals.

Excellent modding skilzez. I should point out that your finished mod is not ostentatious enough. I would like to see more glass panels, LEDs and black lights.

Seriously, good job Mr. IT dept.

Thank you, sir. :-)

Somehow I don't think my bosses would appreciate me inflating the budget to PIMPIFY my mod.

However, there have been a couple of times where we've dashed off to the store to obtain additional components; a power supply or a chassis fan, and we'll find that the cheapest model with the specs we desire is actually the one that has the red, green, and blue flashing LEDs. So Andrew's workstation has a faint multicolored hue emanating from under his desk.

Pimptacular.
