« Stylistic Synchonisity | Of Jesse » 02-22-06 There's a second trailer up for A Scanner Darkly, the 100% rotoscoped film coming out this summer, based on the novel by Philip K. Dyck. Interesting that there's some background music in the trailer by M83, whom Jeff and I were discussing the merits of yesterday. I'm so terribly disappointed by Canada's Olympic hockey team. They've now lost to Switzerland, Finland, and Russia. The teamsmanship and overall performance from such talented professional players was utterly poor. Wayne Gretzky is the GM, and let's just say that this wraps up a particularly rough year for him. Angela and I are going to a concert at the QE tomorrow night. Philip Glass is bringing and orchestra and choir to Vancouver. They'll perform the score of the film Koyaanisqatsi while the film plays in on a big screen on stage. This is a must see opportunity if you're a fan of Philip Glass, which I think I can now say that I am. Posted on February 22, 2006 02:13 PM Comments: You seem to be forgetting about the fact that Canada has TWO hockey teems.. A male AND a female one. Our women's team had great teamwork, and brought home gold. Shame on you. :/ Posted on February 23, 2006 12:26 AMMay I second that....Yeah Women, Great Teamwork! The men could learn something from them. Posted on February 23, 2006 07:01 AMWhen Steph cares about the women's team, I'll care. :P And while we're on subject of equality and sensitivity, Canada does not have TWO hockey teams, it has THREE. Let us not forget the efforts of the Paralympic Sledge Hockey team. Shame on you for overlooking their brave efforts to achieve Olympic gold. Posted on February 23, 2006 08:28 AMLet me just say this. Bertuzzi sucks! I blame that last loss for Canada's men solely on him. I can't say I'm surprised by his lack of effort for team Canada though, he played for them just exactly the same way he plays for Vancouver. Like he's way over the hill. Lets face it, he's no Messier, or Gretzky even at the height of his game, now that he's over the hill he's not worth the $3 million or so we pay him. He certainly should never have been allowed to represent Canada at the Olympics. BOOO Bertuzzi! Posted on February 23, 2006 10:17 AMCANADIAN WOMEN RULE!!!!!!! Posted on February 23, 2006 03:00 PMThe Paralympics isn't till next month. Hardly an overlook. Posted on February 24, 2006 07:50 AMum...... You were THERE?! (At the Koyaanisqatsi thing, I mean) I was there! So was Pessi, and Peter, and Paul, and I can't BELIEVE I didn't see you guys!!! ARRRRGGGHHH!!!! Posted on February 26, 2006 12:54 AM |
