Yay! After some very regular nagging, I've finally managed to get my sister to create the image I wanted for another gag Magic Card. This one is called "Dwarven Minor", and features an underage Dwarf trying to order a drink wearing an oversized helmet and a fake beard. The caption will read "Can I see some I.D. ... SON?" I'll have to wait until Apple repairs my laptop before I can make the card itself. In the meantime, you can see the picture on Angel's DeviantArt Page. Be sure to take a close look at the background of the scene...

 w00t!
A slow day at work has finally led to me getting a CGI-based news-editor enabled
on the site. You know what that means? More frequent posts from Geekman! Big thanks
to Andrew for helping me get it set up. mySQL and PERL rock my world.
The lovely folks at Outpost 10F have awarded Geekman's World the "Best
Blog" award in the Outpost 10F Web Site Contest. Thanks guys! (Sonata Form is my usual online handle, in case you hadn't guessed)

By now, you've seen JibJab's "This Land" parody starring caricatures of John Kerry and George Bush. If you haven't, it's because you're living in a cardboard box down on East Hastings (that's the not-so-good part of Vancouver, for those of you who don't know). This is the first time that I remember having seen a Flash cartoon featured on Fox and CNN. It's almost startling because Fox and CNN are some of the big boosters of pro-war propaganda. The film does manage a fair bit of neutrality, though. For a slightly less polite piece of internet esoterica, check out the "Gay Bar" video featuring Bush and Blair which has been circulating within my group of friends. Thank God that some people have way too much time on their hands. Next on the list of things by Americans that offend other Americans is a new movie by the creators of South Park entitled "Team America: World Police". Bound to offend a staggering list of people, the film follows the exploits of a crack anti-terror team. What's worse, its created in the style of the old "Thunderbirds" T.V. show. That's right: it's played out entirely by marionettes. Check out the trailer, it's pure gold.
